What if the Bicycle Collective also sold bikes on a consignment basis too?

While the donated bicycles at the Collective are a much better than the bicycles at the D.I. (Deseret Industries), they are not brand new either.  So some folks that come into the community shop with the expectation of a new bike at a used price may be disappointed.

There is always eBay and craigslist, but allowing people to ride the bikes is an added benefit.  It would also increase the spectrum of bikes and parts that are offered at the community shop.  Not to mention, true to the consignment model, the Bicycle Collective would get a percentage.

The only competition to this year round program may be Bike Swaps.  Since they usually happen only one day a year, like the Sports Am Bike Swap in March, it shouldn't conflict every other day during the year when there is no alternative.
