From our mission statement, "The Bicycle Collective provides refurbished bicycles and offers educational programs to the community, focusing on children and lower income households." We take that very seriously and strive to make sure we reach those demographics. To ensure that we establish partnerships with various organizations that help us pre-qualify those individuals. The bikes that have been donated by the public and refurbished by our volunteers are then given to those individuals sponsored by partnerships. If you represent an organization that could benefit from our program, please feel free to contact us. To date we have worked with the following organizations: International Rescue Commitee: We provide affordable transportation for refugees.
Catholic Community Services: We provide affordable transportation by referral.
Utah Division of Child and Family Services: Every kid needs a bike, and we do our best to make that happen.
Harm Reduction Project: The first steps are the hardest, so we get them rolling.
YWCA: We provide bikes and instruction for the Earn-a-Bike Class.
YouthCity: We provide bikes and instruction for the Earn-a-Bike Class, Riding Class, and ArtCycle Apprenticeship Program Odyssey House of Utah: We provided bikes for the Women and Children's Program The Road Home: We offered a free mechanics clinc at the downtown homeless shelter.
