Learn to Fix Your Bike and Ride in City Traffic

(KCPW News) The Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective is offering daylong courses every other Saturday from now until the end of September, plus evening sessions on Wednesdays. Jonathan Morris, youth programs director at the Bicycle Collective, says the classes are intended to promote safe cycling and give people the mechanical skills necessary to take care of their bike. The Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective is a non-profit organization that fixes up and donates bikes to area charities and provides free training in bicycle mechanics. The sessions will be held at the Bicycle Collective's shop at 2312 South West Temple. Courses are free and include food and prizes. You can register online at slcbikecollective.org, or call FAT-BIKE (328-2453).
